invisionAZ and StartUpAZ announce the second round of EmergeAZ Fast Grant funds to support innovative startups based in Arizona. In partnership with Governor Doug Ducey, $1.5 million has been allocated to the EmergeAZ Fast II Grant to provide resources to entrepreneurs and startups with emerging technologies designed to address current and future economic, health, or societal challenges.
“We were pleased to see the continuing support for the second round of the EmergeAZ Fast Grant,” said Jack Selby, Chairman of invisionAZ. “The high caliber and quality of the applicants is a testament to the innovation and tech ecosystem developing in Arizona. We look forward to seeing this year’s cohort.”
Last year, the first round of EmergeAZ Fast Grant resources provided funding for 40 Arizona startups. This year, the second round of funds will support up to 60 Arizona startups.
“I am excited by the success we had with the first round of grantees. In partnership with Governor Ducey, we will be able to extend our support to Arizona entrepreneurs once again. I can’t wait to see the creativity and innovation of this next class of awardees,” said Brandon Clarke, co-founder and CEO of StartupAZ. “In Arizona, we have a growing cadre of innovators and technology experts that are solving problems facing our community, and will shift the way we live and work for the better. I look forward to reviewing additional applications and learning more about the emerging companies based in Arizona.”
The applications for the EmergeAZ Fast II Grant will be reviewed on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted. Arizona based startups that are in revenue, have been in existence for at least 12-months and have five or more employees may be eligible to apply for the grant.
