Founded in 2010 with a mission to “enrich lives through healthy eating.” Diana Gregory Outreach Services and Gregory’s Fresh Market address food insecurity issues resulting from poverty. The organization works to restore meaningful food access and eliminate health disparities in under-resourced communities. DGOS and GFM accomplish this by providing seniors and veterans access to fresh fruits and vegetables.
During the pandemic, DGOS and GFM, an essential service, pivoted to a pre-packaged produce delivery program to ensure the continual, monthly delivery of fresh fruits and vegetables to participants.
Our refrigerated vehicles deliver the produce fresh and cold. And for some seniors and veterans, their bag of fresh fruits and vegetables is the difference between having a meal and starving.
The organization’s purpose is to ensure that no senior or veteran goes to bed hungry. Annually, more than 15,000 seniors and veterans are provided with access to fresh fruits and vegetables.
There is no charge for these services and volunteers are the backbone. DGOS and GFM could not do this valuable work without the support of donors and partners. Produce needs have far exceeded what we alone can provide. We are grateful to each volunteer, donor and sponsor.
