After founding and running Arizona-based Eco-Chic Consignments for 33 years, Founder and CEO Ann Siner of My Sister’s Closet, My Sister’s Attic and Well Suited is announcing she is hanging up her hat (or several of them!) and stepping down as the company’s longtime CEO to pursue new adventures and charitable endeavors.

“I couldn’t be more thankful to all who have shopped, supported and cheered us on over the past three decades.  I thank you from the bottom of my heart,” said Ann Siner, Eco-Chic Consignment Founder. “You’ve turned this dream into a roaring success and without you, we wouldn’t be one of the country’s largest, most loved resale stores.  I’m really going to miss the highs, lows and everything in between, especially the fashion trends that come and go but most of all, I’ll miss you, the customers that have made it fun these last 33 years,”  Siner will continue on as a board member and advisor to the company.

With Siner, Eco-Chic has taken on new investors who, over the last 30 years, have had significant operating and investment experience in growth oriented retail.  Pine Mountain Ventures, LLC and Cielo Ventures, LLC are investing into the company and will provide growth capital for expansion into new markets.

Janet Walzer

Succeeding Siner as CEO is longtime luxury retail leader Janet Walzer, who transitioned into the role last month.“It’s impressive everything Ann has done over the last three decades to build this business and really change the face of designer re-sale shopping. She made consignment cool and her accomplishments and dedication are the reason we are here today.  I’m so thrilled to take the resale reigns and build up this great foundation and continue Ann’s work and vision, while ushering in a new era here at My Sister’s Closet, My Sister’s Attic and Well Suited,” said Walzer.

With a background in luxury retail, Walzer, a San Francisco Bay Area native, has spent the last 22-years serving in various leadership roles at high-end retailers including Louis Vuitton, Fendi and Waterworks, to name a few. After studying design in London and Japan,  she most recently oversaw the West Coast divisions for Louis Vuitton and Fendi before leading several additional teams at Waterworks, a prominent and sophisticated fixture company.

With a passion for interior design and fashion design, Walzer says her love for the ‘pre-loved’ consignment industry started when she began collecting and repurposing vintage designer clothing as a young entrepreneur.

Goals for the new CEO  include growing the Eco-Chic Consignment organization by opening new locations througout California, Arizona and in new states.

“In addition to expanding My Sister’s Closet, Well Suited and My Sister’s Attic, we would also like to elevate, over time, the in-store shopping experience, fully utilizing new tools and technology to streamline and elevate the consignor and shopper’s experience,” Walzer said.

Philanthropy will still be at the heart of everything the company stands for with a focus once again on supporting wildlife, animal rescues, arts and culture and empowering women.

“Our philanthropic beliefs are aligned and we are looking forward to continuing the great charitable work that Ann spearheaded for 30+ years.  We will continue to supporting and really help these non-profits thrive in all the communities where you’ll find our stores,” said Walzer.
