Local Coffee Roaster Continues Fundraising Efforts Across the Valley

Since its establishment in 2008, PRESS Coffee, local specialty coffee roaster, has been dedicated to the community. Not only have they stayed committed to providing quality, sustainable coffee to local Arizonans, but for the past six years, PRESS has continued to give back to the community, raising money for numerous non-profits through grand openings, events and their biggest annual event, Day of Giving. This year’s Day of Giving was held on Friday, Feb. 23 across the Valley, and raised money for Phoenix Children’s Hope Fund, a critical source of funding for the hospital’s areas of greatest need.

Funds can be used to support pioneering research, state-of-the-art technology, recruitment of leading physicians and the implementation of programs designed to create a more comfortable hospital environment for children. Following Friday’s event, PRESS raised exactly $21,013 for Phoenix Children’s Hope Fund, in just one day.

“Being an Arizona native and as a company, we are all exceedingly passionate about supporting the Arizona community,” said Jason Kyle, co-owner of PRESS Coffee. “With each grand opening and Day of Giving initiative, we try to bring attention to organizations doing life-changing work in our Arizona communities.”

Participating sponsors this year included Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation, Ageless Men’s Health, Shoreline Supply Co., Collins Commercial Services, D’Lite Healthy On The Go, Lively Distributing, and Bar and Restaurant Insurance. Each of these companies worked with PRESS to donate thousands of dollars to the Phoenix Children’s Hope Fund.

In 2018, PRESS Coffee founded PressOn Charities, an entity of PRESS, which puts community at the forefront. Day of Giving is a designated day each year where each PRESS Coffee location donates 100% of profits to one local non-profit. In addition to funds raised by PRESS, the specialty coffee roaster also teams up with local companies who sponsor the event with their pledge to match donations.

“We are extremely grateful to have been a part of PRESS Coffee’s Day of Giving,” stated Steve Schnall, senior vice president and chief development officer of Phoenix Children’s Foundation. “To give 100% of proceeds is a meaningful commitment that we wholeheartedly appreciate. Being able to see the support from PRESS and their generous customers, as well as the other companies who participated this year, is a testament to our community and their willingness to pull together for the patients at Phoenix Children’s.”

As of Feb. 2024, PRESS Coffee has raised over $200,000 through PressOnCharities for local non-profits throughout Arizona.

Quality-driven and community-focused, Press shares its passion for specialty coffee by providing the highest quality coffee products, service and knowledge with customers and the community every day.
