The Rosendin Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded to make a positive impact on communities through financial grants and volunteer work, donated $215,000 in total to 10 Valley charitable organizations. The nonprofits support the local community in many ways such as empowering individuals, helping children, caring for cancer patients, supporting domestic violence survivors and more.
On November 13, The Rosendin Foundation celebrated the nonprofit organizations and distributed the grants at the Tempe office of electrical contractor and sister company, Rosendin.
The Rosendin Foundation’s largest Arizona grants were presented to Chicanos Por La Causa and the Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children, which each received $35,000. The Foundation granted Xpedition AZ, an inclusive outdoor recreation program for veterans and individuals with disabilities, and mentoring program Future for Kids $30,000 each.
“This grant will have a direct and profound impact on countless families in Arizona with a child battling cancer, helping to alleviate the many challenges they face,” said Tyler Mahnke, Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children. “The Rosendin Foundation’s commitment to making a difference is truly inspiring, and we are dedicated to ensuring that their support brings meaningful relief to those in need.”
The Rosendin Foundation also gave $25,000 to One Small Step, a Gilbert clothing bank, and Save the Family Foundation of Arizona, a Mesa nonprofit that provides housing, counseling, and life-skills classes.
In addition, the nonprofit presented a $15,000 check to Sojourner Center, which aids women facing domestic violence, and a $10,000 check to Arizonans for Children, which helps foster children. The Foundation gave The Autism Nation a $7,500 grant and The Hope Coalition a $2,500 grant.
“This grant funding will provide survivors, their children, and their pets with safe nights of rest, living essentials, three warm meals a day, individualized case management, workforce development, support groups, referrals to partner organizations, and more, ensuring they can focus on healing and their goals for the future,” said James Owen, Grants & Contracts Manager at Sojourner Center.
“The Rosendin Foundation is proud to support these organizations because they are committed to providing valuable programs that help people live happier and healthier lives,” said Jolsna Thomas, president of The Rosendin Foundation. “We want to thank everyone who supports these organizations, especially Rosendin employees who give generously and donate their time and construction skills to help others in the community.”
Under Thomas’ leadership, The Rosendin Foundation’s 2024 annual distribution grant cycle broke records, with $2.3 million gifted to 116 nonprofits nationwide that focus on emotional, nutritional and occupational health. Volunteer projects include building children’s beds, stuffing backpacks with school supplies, and hosting TRF Camp Build, an annual kids construction camp.
The Rosendin Foundation is the charitable arm of Rosendin Holdings, the parent company of Rosendin, one of the nation’s largest design-build specialty electrical contractors with a regional office in Tempe, and Modular Power Solutions (MPS), an offsite manufacturing solutions provider.
Since its inception, The Rosendin Foundation has given over $4.2 million to 296 nonprofit organizations. The Foundation organizes volunteer service days and drives as well as provides financial grants up to $50,000 for organizations nationwide.
