After two-months of operating to-go only, Upward Projects will thoughtfully re-open in-restaurant dining at its collection of foodie-favorites across Arizona, including Postino WineCafé, Windsor, Churn, Joyride Taco House and Federal Pizza. Upward Projects will begin their phased reopening on Thursday, May 14, with all locations open by Saturday, May 16.
Most important, all locations will open with heightened operational measures to protect the health and safety of their Team and Guests. Standards will strictly adhere to guidelines provided by local and national government, as well as an additional layer of meticulous safety protocols developed by the Upward Projects team.
“While we’re excited to re-open our doors, we knew the only way we would be okay doing this is if we placed the health and safety of our Teams and Guests as our number one priority,” said Lauren Bailey, Co-Founder and CEO of Upward Projects. “Our Team is taking this very seriously and has been collaborating with many different advisors and industry peers on best practices. We have an obligation to our guests to make sure they feel better leaving our establishment than they did coming in. We’ve thought through and obsessed over every facet of this revised guest experience – safety measures, how it looks and how it feels.”
New safety measures include thoughtfully redesigned floor plans that allow social distancing and open-air inside and outside seating, hand sanitizer accessible to guests and sanitization stations utilized by the Team, digital and single-use menus as well as increased, rigorous sanitization of high touch areas. Staff will undergo daily wellness checks including temperatures being taken, symptom screen and requirements to wash their hands every 30 minutes minimum. Additionally, as a measure of extra precaution, Upward Projects team members will temporarily wear masks and gloves, with the promise of “big smiles (and occasional dance moves)”.
