Arizona Healthcare Provider Shares ‘Playbook’ to Help Businesses Return to Work Safely

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona

As restrictions are being lifted, many organizations are putting in place plans to safely return employees back to work in office settings. As a local employer with more than 2,400 employees and a health resource for all, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona’s (BCBSAZ) team of clinical, facilities, human resources, and change management professionals have outlined plans that can help business of all sizes transition employees back to work and continue managing business during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Safely Back at Work Playbook for Businesses is now available for download here.

Understanding that each business setting is different, the information shared can help businesses to create the safest possible environment, balancing employee and customer safety with ongoing business demands and economic health. The playbook outlines considerations for returning to work, recommendations on how to evaluate the timing, preparations and procedures to put in place, re-entry guidance from BCBSAZ’s Chief Medical Officer, testing information, emotional support resources, and a personal checklist for employees. The playbook also includes a list of community, state, and federal resources that are available to help businesses and nonprofits weather the COVID-19 pandemic.
