From our Phoenix laboratory, which has more clinical sequencing capacity than any other facility in the world, Caris profiles nearly 1,000 cancer patients every day using comprehensive whole exome and whole transcriptome sequencing technologies. To date, our molecular profiling has helped guide treatment decisions for more than one million cancer patients worldwide. Rather than examining only a small subset of genes, we analyze the full molecular blueprint of a patient’s cancer to help physicians identify therapies that provide the greatest potential benefit.
The pace of innovation in oncology is extraordinary. New targeted therapies, immunotherapies and biomarker-driven treatment options are being introduced at an unprecedented rate. In addition to tissue-based testing, Caris now analyzes cancer-associated markers directly from a patient’s blood plasma, reducing the need for invasive biopsies while providing valuable clinical insights. We recently expanded our capabilities with Caris ChromoSeq™, a whole genome sequencing platform designed specifically for hematologic cancers, and Caris Clarity™, an artificial intelligence-powered technology that analyzes tumor images from early-stage breast cancer patients to help predict the probability of recurrence. We also launched Caris Detect™, a multi-cancer early detection blood test designed to identify cancers at earlier stages, when treatment can be most effective.
The future of precision medicine is being shaped not only by advances in molecular science, but also by artificial intelligence. Modern genomic profiling generates enormous amounts of data, and AI is helping uncover patterns that were previously invisible.
