Bubbies Ice Cream, the Phoenix based frozen novelty brand has launched the “It Takes a Village” initiative to support its employees amid the uncertainty surrounding Covid-19. The facility in charge of the production of its nationally-distributed frozen mochi novelty treats is embracing the “it takes a village” initiative spearheaded by the leadership team strives to support and mitigate stress and anxiety for the employees working around the lock to keep up with the increased demand.
The “It Takes a Village” initiative includes tracking essential items that team members need and are unable to find, such diapers, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, and shelf stable pantry goods such as rice, pasta and cereal. The items are purchased by the leadership team and split and distributed to any and all employees in need. Bubbies is also providing lunch at least once a week from local Arizona restaurants to not only support the immediate team, but the community as a whole.
The “It Takes a Village” initiative spearheaded by the leadership team includes:
- Setting up boards to track essential items that the team members need such diapers, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, and shelf stable pantry goods such as rice, pasta and cereal.
- Purchasing on behalf of employees and distributing among employees in need
- Providing lunches at least 1x a week for all plant employees from local AZ restaurants.
