Located at the municipal Papago Golf Club, the Arizona Golf House grand opening will be held Wednesday, October 22 from 3 to 5 p.m. Hosted by the local golf nonprofits and associations who call it home, the event will be open to each organization’s supporters, members, students, friends and media.

The Arizona Golf House will strengthen the missions of the nonprofit tenants, encouraging public participation in golf as well as all of the positive benefits that accompany the game.

“The Arizona Golf House provides a central headquarters for the state’s diverse nonprofit organizations at the heart of the local golf community,” said one of the tenants of the Arizona Golf House, Katie Prendergast, Executive Director of the Arizona Alliance for Golf. “The efficiencies and collaborative advantages of working next to their partners in the Arizona golf community will allow them to do even more for the full demographic of Arizonans they serve – especially young people.”

Tenants include the Arizona Alliance for Golf, AZ Caddie and Leadership Academy, AZ GOLF, Cactus and Pine Golf Course Superintendents Association, Evans Scholarship Foundation, First Tee — Phoenix, Greater Southwest Club Management Association of America, Junior Golf Association of Arizona, LPGA*USGA Girls Golf – Phoenix, Southwest PGA and Youth on Course. Although not tenants, additional local golf nonprofits that will utilize the facility’s workspace include Desert Mashie Golf Club, First Tee — Tucson, I GOT THIS Foundation, National Golf Course Owners Association of Arizona and the National Golf Player Development Foundation.

The facility also offers an open-to-the-public, multi-purpose event space available upon request for rent for various gatherings such as meetings, parties and receptions.

A first-of-its-kind collaborative hub, the Arizona Golf House will bring together local golf nonprofits to advance research, champion sustainability, and promote an industry deeply woven into Arizona’s economy, environment and identity. It also will be a research and education hub, collaborating with local universities.

Also planned for the future, the Arizona Golf House will be a center for workforce development through real-world training, internships and career placement to provide steppingstones for students pursuing careers in golf, hospitality, tourism and philanthropy.
