Desert Fall Festival is returning to Surprise Sept. 25-Nov. 1, bringing a festive fall experience to the valley with interactive attractions, seasonal entertainment, food and beverages, and more. Created by Shanelle and Jordan Kunz, co-founders of popular holiday installation Desert Farm Lights, now known as Desert Lights Festival, the festival brings their expertise in creating immersive seasonal experiences to a new fall tradition for the community.
Located at 14470 W. Tierra Buena Ln., Desert Fall Festival will be open from 5 to 10 p.m. throughout the season. The festival will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays, with seven-day-a-week operations during the final two weeks of the event.
“We’re excited to bring a fresh take on fall and create a place for all ages to come together and enjoy the season,” said Shanelle Kunz. “From interactive attractions and festive experiences to delicious seasonal treats, we’ve designed Desert Fall Festival to offer something for everyone and bring a little bit of fall fun to the desert.”
Desert Fall Festival will transform 13 acres of desert landscape into a glowing autumn destination filled with pumpkins, interactive attractions, seasonal food and unique photo opportunities. Visitors can enjoy a variety of attractions and experiences, from operating a real excavator at a faux dig site and embarking on the Desert Pumpkin Hunt, a glowing scavenger hunt featuring 10-foot-tall, desert-themed pumpkin sculptures, to testing their aim at the apple cannon blaster, taking on hay bale archery, bungee trampolines, a mechanical bull and pumpkin bowling. For those seeking an extra thrill, the festival also features a 40-foot zipline and 90-foot fun slide. Guests can also browse a curated gift shop featuring custom-engraved souvenirs and unique gifts just in time for the holiday season.
New this year, Desert Fall Festival will introduce even more ways to enjoy the season, including a roller rink, line dancing, live music, and axe throwing, adding a fresh mix of entertainment for guests of all ages.
Attendees can indulge in seasonal treats like wood-fired pizza, caramel apples, churros, tacos, and apple cider slushies topped with donuts, and new specialty cocktails. Guests can also gather around cozy fire pits to roast s’mores under the stars.
Early bird tickets are $14.95 for guests ages 3 and up through Aug. 30, with regular admission priced at $17.95. Season passes will also be available for $49.95, offering guests the opportunity to return throughout the festival season. Additional attraction credits available for purchase to use toward a variety of activities throughout the festival.
