Valley Partnership is pleased to announce Clark Princell as the new President and Chief Executive Officer. Princell was selected by the Board of Directors following an extensive statewide search to lead the organization during a critical time for the development industry.

Valley Partnership is the Valley of the Sun’s premier advocacy group for responsible development. For almost 40 years, Valley Partnership has promoted the interests of the real estate development industry and its partner organizations.

“We are excited to welcome Clark to Valley Partnership as the new President and CEO,” said Laura Ortiz, Valley Partnership Board Chair. “Clark’s leadership experience and public policy expertise will help Valley Partnership continue to navigate complex issues at the local, state, and federal level. Our organization has collaborated with diverse stakeholders on major policy initiatives such as transportation infrastructure, preserving our water resources, and protecting important economic development tools. We look forward to continuing this work under Clark’s leadership to strengthen the economic vitality of the region.”

Princell brings more than 15 years of experience in political and nonprofit organizations working closely with politicians, CEOs, community leaders, and stakeholders on a variety of policies. Most recently, Princell served in numerous roles at the City of Phoenix, including as Mayor Kate Gallego’s Chief of Staff. Prior, Princell was a member of the government affairs teams at the Arizona Department of Economic Security and American Association of Nurse Practitioners as well as the grassroots coordinator at the American Health Care Association.

“Arizona would not be where it is today or as well-positioned for its future without the decades of work and thoughtful policy decisions made by Valley Partnership,” said Princell. “Our state will continue to be confronted with important policy decisions such as transportation, water, and energy. The real estate development community must not only be represented in these discussions but well positioned to continue to influence the subsequent policy decisions. I am honored to represent Valley Partnership and ensure the thoughtful, balanced, and pro-development perspective of the organization continues to be a prominent voice in Arizona.”

As President and CEO, Princell will lead all aspects of the organization’s operations, including advocating for critical issues impacting development in the Valley and implementing the organization’s strategic plan.

Princell holds undergraduate and master’s degrees from San Diego State University. He and his wife, Ashton, live in Phoenix with their two children. He will begin his role July 24th.
