United Cerebral Palsy of Central Arizona (UCP) is a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization that has been changing lives for more than 70 years in the Valley. It is an organization focused on hope and miracles, and its next leader should possess empathy for the mission and believe in its passionate employees and the expertise they offer to the members served.

The UCP Board of Directors will manage the search with help from other senior executives. UCP’s board chair Brett Heising says, “We are looking for candidates who demonstrate strong leadership skills with an emphasis on nonprofit and healthcare, experience in running an organization with complex logistics, and a track record of driving cultural change is a must.”
UCP’s goals in the next five years include:
- Leveraging the organization by building internal capacity
- Standardizing business processes
- Increasing net assets and its philanthropic base
- Maintaining morale within the team
- Implementing new innovative services while keeping quality care as top priority

As the oldest healthcare-related nonprofit organization in Phoenix, UCP of Central Arizona provides comprehensive services to individuals with disabilities and their families by providing physical and developmental support as well as educational growth for infants, children and adults.
