Youth Wellbeing Nonprofit Raises over $800,000 at Annual Gala

notMYkid held its 24^th Annual “Power of Love” Gala on April 12, 2024, at the Arizona Biltmore, bringing together local leaders, organizations and members of the community to support prevention, education and behavioral health measures protecting today’s youth. The evening raised over $800,000 to benefit youth and families through notMYkid programs and services

“We’re so appreciative of the generous support that we received from our partners, members, volunteers and the community as we came together to celebrate the positive changes we are making in the community,” said Kristen Polin, notMYkid CEO. “Together, we are inspiring our youth to build resilience and we are saving lives as we navigate solutions to the ongoing youth mental health crisis and opioid epidemic.”

The funds will support critical programs such as trauma-informed education prevention for youth and their caregivers, life skills training, peer-to-peer support, individual and family counseling, and intensive outpatient services, all designed to inspire kids while helping them make positive life choices and build their future successes.

This year, notMYkid honored Fiesta Bowl Charities, who recently committed $100,000 to build an activity center on the well-being campus. Fiesta Bowl Charities is committed to enhancing organizations that contribute to the success of their communities through youth, sports and education.

The event was co-chaired by Kelley Carter and Jade Izzett, who took on the role due to their shared passion of the work the organization provides, developing the vision of the evening and bringing the magic to life for supporters who came from all around the Valley for an evening of 80’s themed fun that included covers of an array of popular 80’s retro music from the cover band, Rock Lobster, dinner, a live auction, and a series of key speakers who shared inspiring stories.
