Employees with Rosendin, the nation’s largest employee-owned electrical contracting company with a regional office in Tempe, raised $11,000 to support literacy education in Arizona by partnering with Junior Achievement of Arizona (JA) for a Junior Achievement Bowl-A-Thon.
Rosendin had 15 teams of bowlers and there were 9 teams of bowlers from event vendors that participated in the event on October 20, to raise donations to fund JA programs that teach K-12 students how to manage money, understand how business works, and learn about potential career paths.
“It’s important to support youth education in local communities so that the next generation can be prepared to enter the workforce,” said Patti Stapleton, Rosendin. “Rosendin is committed to supporting JA through fundraisers and volunteer efforts, so children can learn about non-traditional career paths, such as construction so that when they enter the workforce they are aware of all their career options.”
Rosendin also handed out prizes for the best costumes thanks to generous donations from their vendors including H&E Equipment Services, Border States, United Rentals, Consolidated Electrical Distributors, Inc., Elliott Electric Supply, Independent Electric, Graybar, Unicoa, Copper State, and Grainger.
Rosendin is a strong supporter of Junior Achievement of Arizona and has a storefront at BizTown®, the nonprofit’s interactive program to help students achieve success in the global economy. In addition, Rosendin would like to thank its volunteers who helped host the event, Felicia Gonzales, Sunny Serna, Neal Serna, Sydney Coleman, Brandy Harrison, and the Rosendin Marketing Team.
