Arizona Foundation for Women (AFW), a state research, advocacy and philanthropy organization bringing women’s needs to the forefront, is now accepting applications for their annual grant cycle.
AFW will accept proposals from organizations that are women-centered in their mission and whose programs predominantly or exclusively benefit women in one or more of the following areas: the safety, health and/or economic empowerment of women (18+) in Arizona.
Proposals for programs that achieve meaningful impact within a year, utilize matching funds, use innovative ways to leverage resources, engage strategic and/or mission-driven collaborations/ partnerships, build the capacity of the organization or support one-year proposals are encouraged.
“Our grantmaking is a longstanding pillar of AFW and a resource that is critical to serving the needs our women in our community through our grantees,” said Mesha Davis, AFW CEO. “In addition to the funds awarded to our grantees, we also provide exposure to their work and assist in building bridges for partnerships.”
AFW will award grants to multiple qualified organizations. Selected organizations may be eligible to receive additional funds during our bonus round next summer, based on the success of AFW’s SHE Leads!™ leadership development program.
Full grant criteria and the online application can be found on the AFW website.
AFW is now accepting applications until 5:00 pm on July 30, 2021.
Previously awarded grantees include: Alice’s Place, Arizona Anti-Trafficking Network, Coalition of Blacks Against Breast Cancer, Dignity House, Impact One Breast Cancer Foundation, Live & Learn, Prescott Area Shelter Services and Women’s Health Coalition of Arizona.
