Tempe-based Be Well Family Care, a comprehensive primary medical clinic that puts an emphasis on the health care treatment of the LGBTQIA+ community, is proud to be a sponsor of Phoenix Pride Festival, taking place October 21 and 22 at Steele Indian School Park.

To enhance its support of the community, Be Well Family Care partnered with Phoenix-based muralist Ashley Macias to bring the spirit of Pride to life. Known for her surrealist works, Macias’ vibrant murals have touched some of the most prized corners of Downtown Phoenix, including “In Mother’s Love and Nature’s Forgiveness,” located near Monroe Street and 3rd Avenue. Now Macias’ art will bring Be Well Family Care’s passion for the LGBTQIA+ community to life, availa-ble on T-shirts and tote bags at the medical clinic’s booth at Phoenix Pride Festival.

“Our support for this community is unabashed, and we are proud to see our ongoing commit-ment to the LGBTQIA+ community come to life in Ashley’s stunning work,” said Micaela Simon, Board Certified Nurse Practitioner and Co-founder of Be Well Family Care. “We hope the com-munity finds a home in our practice where they will be welcomed with open arms.”

Be Well Family Care has been a longtime supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community, providing es-sential care, including HIV treatment, PrEP, STI screening, transgender medical support and more. The practice is a safe space for all demographics seeking comprehensive primary and specialized care, including women’s health and family medicine.

Be Well’s support of the community comes at a crucial time. As part of its ongoing support, the practice is on a mission to provide PrEP, the groundbreaking HIV prevention medicine that re-duces HIV transmission from sexual activity by nearly 99% when taken as prescribed.

“Be Well’s philosophy is part art, part science,” said Julia Kieffer, Family Nurse Practitioner and Co-founder of Be Well Family Care. “We see beauty in the treatment and wellbeing of all peo-ple, and that starts with caring for the LGBTQIA+ community with customized treatments for their specific needs.”
