After 15 years in business and taking her Scottsdale-based leadership development company, U & Improved, to international acclaim, Corporate Trainer, Motivational Speak and Author of “From Me To U” Jodi Low is sharing five key tips to help realign one’s goals and keep resolutions in the New Year.
“After hosting seminars around the world, one thing I’ve seen clients consistently need is a year-end check-in that aligns their goals for 2024 along with the mindset to keep them,” said Jodi.
Five of the most important goals that Low states are important to every busy professional, no matter their title or vertical of business, include:
- Seek Harmony: Don’t dwell on work-life balance. Seek harmony instead. Create alignment between your personal values and those of your organization.
- Prioritize Growth: Take a good, honest look at yourself in the mirror. What’s working? What isn’t? And what can you do differently this year to achieve better results? Continually and consciously improve yourself and all other areas of your life will follow suit.
- Focus: It’s easier than ever to get bombarded and overwhelmed by a variety of things that all need your attention. Now is the time to start saying no to superfluous agenda items that aren’t “musts.” Focus on what matters most to you and organize each week in advance to ensure your short-term goals are leading to long-term success.
- Read: Leaders are readers. What book will challenge you to think new thoughts and do something differently? Read a book a month at minimum and watch how broad your knowledge base becomes. Knowledge may bring power; however, it is the knowledge plus the action behind it that truly drives results.
- Reflect: Numerous studies have shown the positive effects of gratitude. Take a few moments each day to reflect, be grateful and continue to appreciate what you have while working toward what you want.
