Peter Piper Pizza announces a major franchising initiative as the Scottsdale-based dining and entertainment restaurant looks to expand the brand into new markets. With 143 restaurants throughout the Southwest United States and Mexico, 111 are franchised and 32 are company-owned.
“We’ve built a successful model and believe that the timing is right to expand,” said Peter Piper Pizza President and CEO Charles Bruce. “We understand the market and know there’s an underserved need from millennial moms looking for an affordable family dining experience, as well as significant growth potential in the Hispanic population.”
A few of the benefits associated with being a franchisee include accelerated market share growth, significant free cash flow creation, experienced management support team, and a nationwide selection of attractive markets for expansion.
Peter Piper Pizza is targeting multi-unit operators with restaurant and retail experience looking to franchise in undeveloped markets. The brand offers a unique operating model and unit economics that generate revenue from a variety of sources, including the latest games, carry-out, all-you-can-eat lunch buffet and local store marketing efforts.
“Franchising opportunities with Peter Piper Pizza offer exceptional organic growth and new growth opportunities as evidenced by our continued same-store sales growth, new unit development and our remodel program,” said Bruce. “And due to the longevity, stability and tenure of our management team, we will be able to provide a strong support system to new franchisees.”
Peter Piper Pizza recently hit its 54th consecutive period of same-store sales growth and was named in Nation’s Restaurant News’ Next 20 report. The report recognizes chains that are best positioned to crack the Top 200 by virtue of their sales volumes.
