Speakers:
ANNA BRANSON, Attorney: BA, Government, University of Redlands; JD, Whittier College of Law. She is licensed to practice law in both Arizona and California. Prior to joining the Council in 2019, Anna worked in Education Law with a local law firm advising school districts regarding employment law and special education issues. The rest of her career as an attorney has been spent serving clients in the areas of disability rights and civil litigation. Her areas of expertise include employment discrimination (Title VII), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and wage and hour.
KAREN STAFFORD, MHRM, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Arizona President: BA, English, College of Wooster, OH; MHRM, University of Hawaii. Before joining Employers Council in 2004, Karen served in senior management and HR consulting positions in a variety of business settings. Karen has also served on the faculty with two local universities in the areas of employment law, human resources, and management studies. She assumed the position of Arizona President in August, 2019 and leads a team of dedicated employment law attorneys, human resources leaders, facilitators, trainers, and other specialists to provide excellent service to member organizations. Her focus on business development allows Employers Council to further its reach and ability to support the Arizona business community.
