The Arizona Diamondbacks have launched a series of interactive games within the MLB Ballpark app that will allow fans to stay connected from home during the 60-game season and beyond. Fans can download the Ballpark App for free and after navigating to the D-backs’ homepage, click on Interactive Games to earn points during daily competitions, with the opportunity to win prizes each day throughout the season.
“We are extremely proud of this element of the MLB Ballpark app that was created by our own in-house staff,” said D-backs President & CEO Derrick Hall. “The games will entertain all baseball fans for hours every day and will create a new way for them to play along at home, and eventually, when we are all back at Chase Field.”
While fans are not yet permitted in ballparks across the country, they will be able to participate in the Circle K D-backs Dog Derby and the popular Cox Legends Race, with video versions of each to take place within the app. Fans who correctly choose the winner will earn points towards the Daily Leaderboard, presented by Chase, with the top five point-getters earning D-backs prizes.
The app is presented by Safelite AutoGlass and among the daily individual interactive games are:
- “D-backs Match” and “High/Low” presented by Gila River Hotels and Casinos
- “Hardball Trivia” presented by Fry’s Food Stores
- “Fan Poll” presented by FOX Sports Arizona
- “Who Dis?” presented by Banner Health
- “Word Pickle” presented by Whataburger
In addition to the daily leaderboard, fans can create their own groups to compete against their friends while earning badges for participating in each game.
The first competition begins tomorrow, Opening Day, as the D-backs open the season in San Diego against the Padres.
