Arizona is home to centuries-old musical traditions as well as innovative craftspeople willing to experiment with instruments beyond conventional categories. Arizona instrument makers Anthony Belvado, member of the San Carlos Apache Nation, and Alex Maldonado, tribal member of the Pascua Yaqui Nation, demonstrate how they preserve and build upon their Native American musical heritage.
