Local Dry Cleaning Co. Donates Laundry Services for Banner Health

Prestige Cleners

Prestige Cleaners, the Scottsdale-based family-owned, local dry cleaning company, is donating its professional laundry services to offer relief to Banner Health Foundation’s efforts as the U.S. health care system struggles with shortages of basic personal protective equipment (PPE) amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

A U.S. Conference of Mayors survey of more than 200 cities in 41 states found that 88% said their safety and medical personnel lacked an adequate supply of PPE.

“During these trying times, we are looking for every way to lend a helping hand to first responders and Valley hospitals as they continue to battle this novel virus 24/7,” says Denise Testori, President and CEO of Prestige Cleaners. “We are honored to step up and ensure these donations are cleaned and disinfected for immediate use.”

Banner Health Foundation is now collecting donated medical supplies and personal protective equipment, or PPE, in partnership with Project C.U.R.E. in Tempe. Among the unused items needed, from N95 masks, alcohol-based cleaning wipes, non-latex gloves, protective face shields and more, Banner Health Foundation is also seeking homemade masks for optional social-comfort use by Banner’s health care workers.

Prestige Cleaners will professionally clean all new homemade mask donations before being given to Banner team members. These homemade masks will not be worn by providers directly caring for COVID-19 patients, nor in any procedure rooms or isolation areas.

Donations can be dropped off Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 2100 W. 14th St., Building T3 in Tempe. The building is located just west of 52nd Street between Broadway and University; look for the Project C.U.R.E signs. Donated supplies will be deployed in Banner Health’s Arizona hospitals and medical centers.
