Grimaldi’s Pizzeria is thrilled to be named the 2018 Silver Halo Award winner in the Small Business Category for their work on Dine Out: Grimaldi’s and Share our Strength.
When Grimaldi’s realized that one in six kids (or 13 million children nationwide) face hunger in the United States, the company teamed up with No Kid Hungry to launch Grimaldi’s Annual Dine Out for No Kid Hungry promotion which ran from September 1 – 30th, 2017 at all the chain’s locations.
Now in its fifth year, the partnership is an integral part of Grimaldi’s business objectives of driving traffic to their restaurants, increasing year-over-year sales, and ensuring that employees connect with their communities and customers while feeling a sense of pride in being part of the Grimaldi’s team. Through in-store promotions, member email newsletters and public relations, the team raised a total raised of $115,000. These funds will allow No Kid Hungry to provide 1,150,000 additional nutritious meals for kids in need—an incredible impact for a brand with under 50 locations.

The Halo Awards are North America’s highest honor for corporate social initiatives and cause marketing and presented by Engage for Good (formerly Cause Marketing Forum). 2018 marks the 16th year that Engage for Good will honor businesses and nonprofits with Halos for doing well by doing good. A total of 28 category awards were given out at the 16th Annual Engage for Good conference in Chicago.
