Phoenix-based developer George Oliver has completed its Bond office redevelopment in the heart of the Camelback Corridor, delivering a market-leading amenity package in what the company considers its most ambitious metro Phoenix office transformation to date.
Located at 3200 E. Camelback Rd., Bond sits on the landmark corner of 32nd Street and Camelback Road in Phoenix, Arizona. The project’s hospitality-centric approach includes a central atrium surrounded by office suites, coworking provided by Industrious, conferencing facilities, a state-of-the-art fitness wellness facility, billiards room and premier food and beverage offerings run by award-winning chef and entrepreneur Mark Tarbell.
“Our redevelopment at Bond touched every aspect of this asset, from a complete rebranding initiative to an architectural reinvention of its interior and exterior spaces that pushed the limits of the building’s structural envelope,” said George Oliver Founder and Managing Partner Curt Kremer. “The result is a project that is meticulously designed and delivered to establish a new standard of quality – not just for office space, but for an overall experience that includes work, wellness and culinary excellence.”
Highlights of Bond include soaring, double-height volumes in the wellness center and 200-person training room, full excavation of the building’s atrium floor to create a private speakeasy hideaway called The Vault, and a glass-enclosed, 22-person boardroom suspended above a central three-story atrium, offering seating for collaboration and food and beverage service.
The building’s robust meeting amenities range from its oversized training room to a 14-room conferencing center, with spaces curated for a wide range of meeting requirements – including a fully outfitted podcast studio. Bond also boasts a two-story wellness center complete with spa-inspired men’s and women’s locker rooms, a dedicated yoga studio and a large gym filled with premium weights and state-of-the-art equipment.
Additional amenities at Bond include an on-site concierge, private networking events, mother’s rooms, a billiards and darts room, a dog patio, car detailing, and EV chargers.
“The scale of this building gave George Oliver Design the flexibility to not only expand on successful components from our previous projects, but to also introduce a ton of bold new elements,” said George Oliver Design’s Lead Architect Jay Sciarani. “As with all of our developments, that process began with a thorough understanding of our end users and developed into a distinctive brand and project deployment unlike anything else in the market. Bond is tailored to meet the unique needs and aspirations of the people who use this space, topped off by a hospitality-driven culinary experience located directly at its center.”
Tarbell’s presence at Bond is anchored by Cultivate, an atrium café offering a full-service coffee bar, breakfast and lunch service. Later in the day, Cultivate transforms into an upscale happy hour destination where tenants can unwind and connect. All services from Cultivate are supported by an on-site kitchen, allowing the Tarbell’s team to serve a menu of made-to-order items – all prepared fresh onsite and available for delivery to building tenants via Bond’s exclusive smartphone app or through Tarbell’s full-service catering program supporting Bond’s conferencing and event spaces.
Leasing for Bond is being managed by JLL.
Bond marks George Oliver’s sixth trademark experiential office project in the Valley, following Arbor in downtown Tempe, CASA in Phoenix’s Uptown neighborhood, The Alexander and The Johnathan in downtown Chandler, and Quad in South Scottsdale. Last year, George Oliver acquired three buildings in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale that are slated to become its next major redevelopment.
