In times of uncertainty, working together for a common cause will have an impact. Better Business Bureau Serving the Pacific Southwest recognized the immediate need to support small businesses during the current crisis and called upon local partners to support their mission. With generous donations from Desert Financial Credit Union and Optima Tax Relief, BBB Pacific Southwest launched it’s Main St. Matters Grant Program to provide financial support to businesses throughout its service area.
“We are committed to doing what we can to help business owners during this challenging time,” says Gary Sneed, Sr. Vice President Chief Lending Officer of Desert Financial Credit Union.
Desert Financial Credit Union contributions will award businesses who qualify for the grant in Maricopa County (AZ), while Optima Tax Relief will assist those in Orange County (CA). Donors can select the county in which their funds are allocated or choose to diversify it throughout the service area. These grants fill crucial gaps for businesses that have not received alternative sources of funding.
“Small businesses are vital to our economy and many of them are not getting help and support these days” adds Harry Langenberg, Managing Partner of Optima Tax Relief. “BBB has been addressing this need along with informative presentations and timely content, and the Main St. Matters Grant program will further extend their outreach by providing financial aid which is truly needed.”
Lasting Impact: The Call for Additional Donors
In order to help as many ethical businesses in the community as possible, BBB Pacific Southwest is seeking additional donations to fulfill the high demand of the program. Those who are interested and inspired to support Main St. businesses can contact innovation@bbbcommunity.org
