The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that its Phoenix office was selected to receive the 2015 “President’s Award” from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona (BBBSAZ), an honor given to longstanding corporate, foundation or individual donors who have helped advance the organization’s mission. Quarles & Brady was honored during the BBBSAZ 60th anniversary gala, which took place Thursday, April 16, at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort in Scottsdale.
Long-time BBBSAZ board member and Quarles & Brady partner Roger Morris accepted the honor on behalf of the firm, along with fellow partner Jacque Westling, who joined the board in 2014.
“Over the past 40 years, there has never been a time when a member of Quarles & Brady wasn’t serving a leadership role within our organization,” says Laura Capello, president and CEO of BBBSAZ. “Notably, now-retired partner Chuck Jirauch served as our board chair through the merger of BBBSAZ in 1986, and the late Edwin Wainscott chaired our organization through its incredible growth in the 1990s. More recently, partner Roger Morris has served us with such distinction that the Association of Fundraising Professionals honored him with its 2013 Spirit of Philanthropy Award.”
