Wellness AtoZ, an initiative of the Greater Phoenix Chamber Foundation (Foundation), is launching the Healthy AZ Pledge to support Arizona’s businesses and community members that make a commitment to follow local and state health and safety guidelines to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
“Wellness AtoZ is addressing a need in the Arizona business community by recognizing businesses that follow COVID-19 safety guidelines, and showcase this commitment to their customers,” said Todd Sanders, president and CEO of the Foundation. “We are committed to supporting Arizona’s businesses and community as we navigate the new normal and effects of COVID-19.”
By taking the Healthy AZ Pledge, businesses and individuals commit to follow the health and safety guidelines surrounding COVID-19. This commitment will create a healthy community and help businesses continue to stay open safely.
Businesses that take the pledge commit to keeping Arizona safe by supporting #MaskUpAZ by requiring staff and customers to wear masks, making it easy for staff and customers to practice good hygiene, implementing social distancing wherever possible, and encouraging others to follow guidelines.
“The #HealthyAZPledge initiative will help foster community wellness by reaching businesses, their employees and customers, and individual community members,” said Jennifer Mellor, chief innovation officer of the Foundation. “It supports the State’s efforts to encourage people to wear a mask and stay safe as we move through this unprecedented time.”
Individuals are encouraged to take the pledge as well. By doing so, they commit to supporting #MaskUpAZ by wearing a mask when with others, developing good hygiene habits, practicing social distancing, and encouraging others to do the same.
