Oregano’s, known for i ts authentic Chicago-style pizza, pastas, sandwiches and salads, is preparing to add something new to its menu: a takeout-only concept in Tempe.
Oregano’s Takeout Kitchen will debut June 2, 2021, at 1705 W. University Dr., just west of Priest Drive. Guests can expect the same big portions and great flavors that have made Oregano’s a staple around the state. There just won’t be any tables or bar service at this Tempe location.
“We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of our newest concept, Oregano’s Takeout Kitchen, and we can’t wait to see our guests’ reactions when we open our doors,” said Mark S. Russell, founder of Oregano’s Pizza Bistro. “This location has been in the works for some time as we’ve seen demand grow for being able to eat our food wherever our guests are.”
Oregano’s Takeout Kitchen will begin taking orders June 2, and will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
In addition to the complete Oregano’s menu that guests have come to love at its 21 Arizona restaurants, Oregano’s Takeout Kitchen will offer lunch combos and large catering portions. Lunch combos include its famous Heckuva Slice, with two toppings and a beverage, for $6.29. Additionally, the Big Band Bundle, which includes two pastas and a house or Caesar salad for just $24.99, will be available any time. The takeout location will offer an expanded selection of bottled Pepsi products.
Oregano’s Takeout Kitchen will employ about 30 people, and hiring is already underway. Those
interested in joining the team can apply online, set up an interview here, or attend an upcoming
job fair from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, May 24, at Oregano’s Takeout Kitchen, where job
offers will be made on the spot. Along with flexible scheduling and competitive pay ($15-19 per
hour for cooks), Oregano’s team members receive exclusive food and beverage discounts, and
all full-time team members are eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a
401(k) match.
Oregano’s Takeout Kitchen, at 1705 W. University Dr., Suite 102, in Tempe, takes Oregano’s tasty recipes that have been passed down through generations and serves them in a takeout-only format. This is the first of possibly many Oregano’s Takeout Kitchens. Along with Oregano’s traditional menu, Oregano’s Takeout Kitchen will serve large portions of guest favorites geared for large gatherings.
