Busy Bees North America, a subsidiary of Busy Bees, a global leader in early learning and childcare, began construction for its first U.S. childcare facility in Goodyear. Among attendees to this inaugural event was Assemblywoman Mariana Sandoval, Mayor Joe Pizzillo, and Council Members, Wally Campbell, and Vicki Gillis.

The Busy Bees Goodyear center is located at 14070 W. Van Buren Street. The early learning and care center is set to bring its trusted holistic approach to early childhood education to more markets throughout the state of Arizona in 2024, with plans to open eight new centers and provide over 400 employment opportunities to families in Goodyear and surrounding communities.

Director for Busy Bees Palm Valley center, Debra White welcomed everyone to the momentous event as she provided insight of the project’s vison and outline, “Our vision for Busy Bees is simple yet profound: to give every child the best start in life. We plan to do just that by utilizing our one-of-a-kind curriculum, BeeCurious. This curriculum, developed internally, engages the child holistically by creating an environment that is nurturing, stimulating, diverse, and inclusive.” Debra went on to describe the magnitude of reach the project will have, as she said, “As we break ground today, we are laying the foundation for brighter futures, not only for the children who will grace these halls but for the community, region, and state of Arizona.”

Assemblywoman Mariana Sandoval said, “Early childhood education matters and it provides the foundation for all future learning behavior and health of young children. Access to early childhood education helps children develop the skills they need to become well -functioning adults. Busy Bees provides emotional, social, physical, and cognitive skills that will give every child the best start in life.”

After performing the ceremonial groundbreaking, the celebration continued with the mayor of Goodyear Joe Pizzillo who says, “This will be an excellent addition to our city,” adding that “we are the 9th fastest growing city in the country right now, and Busy Bees is starting here with us because they love the culture and environment of this city.”
