REDW Advisors & CPAs, a national advisory and accounting firm known for its integrated service offerings and specialized expertise serving Tribal Nations and gaming enterprises whose office in Phoenix has more than 80 team members, has opened a new office in Las Vegas, expanding its footprint to five offices nationwide. Located at 1980 Festival Plaza Drive, Suite 300 in the Downtown Summerlin area of Las Vegas, the office strengthens REDW’s ability to serve clients throughout Nevada and Southern California while continuing to support organizations across the United States. The Las Vegas location joins REDW’s existing offices in Albuquerque, Phoenix, Salem, Oregon, and Oklahoma City.
The expansion builds on REDW’s 2019 acquisition of Smith Harrison LLP, a firm specializing in tribal gaming and casino operations, and reflects the firm’s continued nationwide growth.
“Every expansion we pursue must align with our strategic pillars: innovation, sustained profitable growth, client experience, and team learning and development,” said Steve Cogan, CPA, managing principal. “Las Vegas is an important market for many of our tribal and gaming clients, but it is also a dynamic business community. Establishing an office here allows us to continue delivering exceptional service to those clients across Nevada and nationwide while also bringing the full breadth and depth of REDW’s integrated advisory services to organizations in Las Vegas.”
REDW originally discussed establishing a Las Vegas office shortly after the Smith Harrison LLP acquisition. In the years following the merger, however, the firm’s gaming and hospitality practice continued to expand nationally while adding industry experts based in Las Vegas. As business across Nevada and the broader gaming sector accelerated, establishing a physical office became a natural next step.
“The Las Vegas office is really a response to where our clients and talent are,” said Adam Smith, CPA, MBA, principal in REDW’s Audit & Assurance practice and leader in the Las Vegas office. “Many of the gaming operators we serve have a presence here, and Las Vegas is also a central gathering place for the broader gaming industry, both commercial and tribal. But beyond that, it is a place where businesses across many industries are growing, and we see tremendous opportunity.”
Las Vegas also serves as a central hub for industry conferences, professional networks and specialized talent in gaming, finance and business operations, Smith added.
“There is a real groundswell of talent in Las Vegas, particularly within the gaming and financial services sectors,” Smith said. “As our practice continued to grow, it became clear that establishing an office here would allow us to support that growth, attract new professionals, and build the infrastructure needed for a larger team.”
Katherine Bastow, REDW Vice President of People Operations said of the expansion, “Our leadership recognizes the importance of attracting and retaining top talent, and with that has come a continued evolution of benefits, especially as it relates to remote and hybrid workers. Rather than large-scale offices designed to support team members in the office five days a week, REDW offers hybrid work environments like this new Las Vegas location, featuring smaller footprints that support flexibility and allow us to adapt quickly to evolving talent and business needs, while also creating opportunities for peer and client connection.”
The expansion also comes during a period of significant growth for REDW. Earlier in March, REDW announced the acquisition of Soaring Bird Solutions, LLC, integrating the Nevada-based firm into REDW’s national advisory platform. Through the partnership, REDW expanded its capabilities in supporting Tribal Nations and Tribal enterprises, particularly in the areas of human resources strategy, leadership development, and organizational consulting. Founded in 2015 and also based in Nevada, Soaring Bird Solutions has built a nationally respected practice dedicated to supporting organizations serving Tribal governments, Tribal enterprises, and Tribal nonprofits across the United States.
Also in 2026, REDW announced the appointment of Maxwell S. Kagan as the firm’s first Chief Financial Officer, marking a milestone in REDW’s continued growth as the firm expands in size, innovation, advisory services, and geographic reach while strengthening its financial infrastructure.
In addition, in 2025, REDW launched dedicated Corporate Finance and Transaction Advisory Services practices, two specialized service lines focused on mergers and acquisitions transactions, capital raising advisory, strategic deal execution, and financial due diligence. These practices help businesses navigate major financial events and strategic decisions, including acquisitions, company sales, and capital transactions.
Through these strategic initiatives, combined with investments in new state-of-the-art offices in Oklahoma City and Albuquerque and the 2023 opening of the firm’s Pacific Northwest office in Salem, REDW has continued expanding its capabilities, leadership and geographic footprint.
“Remaining independent allows us to stay entrepreneurial, nimble, and focused on what matters most—our people and our clients,” Cogan said. “At our core, we are building a values-driven firm focused on long-term impact. The goal is not simply to grow larger, but to grow in ways that strengthen our teams, support our communities, and deliver exceptional service to our clients.”
