The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) announced $42,177,864 in tribal gaming contributions to the Arizona Benefits Fund for the fourth quarter of Fiscal Year (FY) 2023. This caps off another year of record tribal gaming contributions to the Arizona Benefits Fund, with over $153 million dollars contributed in FY 2023.
“Tribal gaming in Arizona continues to impress, with tribal contributions shattering the previous record by nearly $30 million this fiscal year,” said Jackie Johnson, Director, ADG. “This record 23.9% increase not only further supports Arizona education, healthcare, tourism, and wildlife conservation, but contributes critical funds that aid tribal communities throughout the state. I am proud of the hard work and partnership between ADG and our tribal gaming partners to make this fiscal year a success and I look forward to the future of Arizona tribal gaming.”
The Arizona Benefits Fund receives 88 percent of tribal gaming contributions, providing significant dollars to support instructional improvement in schools, trauma and emergency care, tourism, and wildlife conservation throughout the state. Tribal gaming contributions to the Arizona Benefits Fund for the 4th quarter of the State’s FY 2023 are as follows:

- Arizona Wildlife Conservation Fund $3,003,064

Per the Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compact, Tribes with casinos contribute a percentage of their Class III gross gaming revenue to the state, cities, towns, and counties. Currently, there are 25 Class III casinos in Arizona, which are regulated jointly by ADG and Arizona tribes.
Established by the Arizona State Legislature in 1995, ADG is the state regulatory agency for tribal gaming, racing and pari-mutuel/simulcast wagering, event wagering/fantasy sports and unarmed combat sports. ADG also provides and supports education, prevention and treatment programs for people and families affected by problem gambling through its Division of Problem Gambling and 24-hour confidential helpline, 1-800-NEXT-STEP.
