“Better Health Care, Better Costs–Take Control of Your Company’s Health Care Benefits:” An Employer Workshop to Help Valley Companies Provide Better Health Insurance to Employees

Health Care in America costs businesses and consumers more than $3.5 trillion annually. This enormous expense is a significant cost burden for businesses and consumers alike.  CFO’s rank this rising cost the most significant threat they face as businesses. This year due to COVID-19, total health care costs are projected to climb to an average of $15,500 per employee. That equates to $10,850 for employers, who pay roughly 70% of the costs, and $4,650 for employees. This is a 5% increase compared to 2020. By 2022, employer health costs are projected to rise 6.5% due to COVID-19, according to a report published by PricewaterhouseCooper.

With these projected cost increases on the horizon, it is more important than ever before for employers to play a more active role in the delivery of health care, with the ultimate goal of improving workforce health and managing their expenses—not only for their company, but for their employees, too.

To help Valley employers navigate the rising health care costs post-pandemic and provide competitive, cost-effective, and innovative health care benefits to their workforce, Employee Benefits International is hosting an educational workshop for Arizona businesses.
