Mosaic Building Group, a construction technology platform for the residential development industry, today announced the results of its quarterly Homebuilding Tech Survey, which measures homebuilding technology usage and sentiment from real estate industry professionals in the southwestern U.S. states of Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, and Utah.
The 600 respondents were surveyed between August 4 and October 24, 2021. They are real estate professionals aged 25 to 54-plus, with more than 40% of respondents working directly for or with the homebuilding industry. The topline survey results are as follows:
- 92% of respondents said it is important to use technology services, such as software products, in the homebuilding process;
- 83% of respondents said they are likely to seek out new technology products in the homebuilding process; and,
- 72% of respondents said they are likely to seek out homes built using technology products in the next 12 months; and,
- 92% of respondents said it is important to use technology products that create efficiencies in the homebuilding process, with 84% reporting they are likely to use said products.

The company partnered last year on a $100M strategic pilot partnership with regional homebuilder Mandalay Homes to build Jasper in Prescott Valley, as well as a separate partnership with Vintage Partners to build Sky Cottages, a 200-unit single-family build-to-rent residential project.
