Arizona Tops List of the Best State to Be a Social Media Influencer

New research has revealed that Arizona is the best state to be a social media influencer. The study, conducted by QR Code Generator analyzed six metrics relevant to working as an influencer in each state. This included each state’s average internet speed, income taxes, average temperature, hours of sunshine, number of clear days annually, and the number of Instagram posts featuring hashtags for the five most populated cities in each state.

These metrics were gathered for all 50 states with each scored out of 100, to reveal the best states to be an influencer.

The research revealed that Arizona is the best state in America to be an influencer, with a total score of 77.70 out of 100. The state has 3,806 hours of sunshine and 193 clear days annually, the highest of all fifty states on both counts.

The Grand Canyon State also has relatively low income tax rates at an average of 3%. Arizona also has the tenth-highest average temperature and number of Instagram hashtags mentioning the state at 60.3 °F and 54.5 million hashtags, respectively.

Oklahoma ranks as the second-best state to be an influencer, scoring 68.42 out of 100. The state averages 3,089 hours of sunshine and 139 clear days annually, the fifth highest on both counts. Oklahoma is mentioned in 13 million Instagram hashtags and has an average income tax of 3%.

Georgia scores 66.53 out of 10 and is the third-best state to be an influencer. The state has the fifth-highest number of Instagram hashtags at 77.9 million and the fifth-highest average temperature at 63.5 °F. The Peach State also has the ninth-highest internet speed, 414.9 Mbps, and records 2,986 hours of sunshine annually, the tenth highest in the country.

New Mexico scores 58.54 out of 100 and places fourth on the list of the best states to be an influencer. The state has the second-highest number of clear days, with 167 clear days annually, and the third-highest hours of sunshine at 3,415 hours annually. New Mexico also has an average income tax rate of 4% and 10.2 million Instagram hashtags.

Scoring 58.05 out of 100, Colorado is in fifth place. Colorado has the fourth-highest hours of sunshine at 3,204 hours annually and the eighth-highest number of hashtags, with 67.4 million Instagram posts featuring locations in the state.

Virginia ranks sixth on the list, scoring 57.93 out of 100. The state has the second-fastest internet speed at 505.6 Mbps, an average income tax of 4%, and 25.4 million Instagram hashtags.

Louisiana ranks seventh, with a score of 57.08 out of 100. The state has the third-highest average temperature at 66.4 °F, 101 clear days a year, and an average internet speed of 324.9 Mbps.

Maryland scores 56.76 out of 100 and is the eighth-best state to be an influencer. The state has the highest internet speed of all fifty states at 506.7 Mbps. The state also records an average of 105 clear days annually, 2,582 hours of sunshine, and 31.5 million Instagram hashtags.

Pennsylvania scores 56.51 out of 100 and is the ninth-best state to be an influencer. The state has the sixth-highest internet speed at 430.8 Mbps. Pennsylvania also has the seventh-highest number of Instagram hashtags, with 71.2 million posts mentioning locations in the state.

Alabama rounds out the top ten with a score of 55.66 out of 100. The state has the seventh-highest average temperature at 62.8 °F. The average internet speed in Alabama is 344.6 Mbps, and the state has 36.1 million Instagram hashtags.

Alaska scored 13.79 out of 100 and was found to be the worst state to be an influencer. While the state does not have an individual income tax, it has the lowest average temperature at 26.6 °F, the fewest hours of sunshine at 2,061 hours annually, and the fourth-lowest number of clear days with 61 clear days annually. The state has 12.7 million hashtags, the nineteenth lowest.
