Housing Will Replace Iconic Paradise Valley Church

by Mike Hunter

New single-family housing will be built on the five-acre site of the iconic Ascension Church in Paradise Valley, after business partner of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey purchased the church for $11 million — $500,000 over asking price. The church’s close proximity to the $2 billion Ritz Carlton Paradise Valley project puts it at the center of an increasingly popular and growing community known for high-end homes, shops and restaurants. “This is an iconic piece of architecture on an amazing plot of land so it isn’t a surprise that the property sold over its listing price,” says Frank DiMaggio, managing partner at Launch Powered by Compass, who closed the deal.
