Barry Lutz, a seasoned investment banker and Air Force veteran, has joined J.P. Morgan’s regional investment banking team to lead and drive business expansion of the firm’s the new Inter-Mountain region.
Based in Phoenix, Lutz, will provide clients across Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and New Mexico with strategic advice on mergers and acquisitions, raising capital and risk management expertise.
“Barry’s wealth of experience, extensive and established network across the Intermountain West, and proven investment banking track record will drive our business expansion and growth across this critical region,” said John Richert, head of Regional Investment Banking for the firm.
Lutz most recently worked for Wells Fargo Securities, where he served as a managing director and head of Mountain and Southwestern U.S. Regional Investment Banking. His experience includes more than 18 years of investment banking providing public, private, private equity and family office clients with advice and execution, including many high-profile transactions across the technology, healthcare, industrial and consumer and retail sectors.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Barry worked in investment banking at Credit Suisse and UBS. He also served four years as an enlisted member of the U.S. Air Force and is a graduate of USAF Officer Training School.
