Holmes Murphy is excited to announce that Amy Tanny has joined the organization as a Vice President of Property Casualty.

In this role and as part of Holmes Murphy’s Placement team, Tanny will be focused on helping the company win new business, supporting the team as a resource for client renewal placements (a new resource for the enterprise), and assisting with Holmes Murphy’s carrier and wholesaler relations and strategy.

Tanny joins Holmes Murphy as a highly respected and successful insurance and marketing leader, most recently spending 17 years with Cottingham & Butler. As the Vice President of the Risk Management practice, Tanny played a critical role in the development and implementation of risk management strategies and insurance program design; driving renewal strategies; and recruiting, retaining, and developing talent.

“Amy’s deep and diversified risk management experience, coupled with her professional network and reputation, makes her an ideal leader to help us continue to intensify the growth initiatives within our Property Casualty division,” said John Hurley II, Holmes Murphy President of Brokerage Services. “Her competitive drive to win and retain business through her focus and understanding of her clients, her strong awareness of the marketplace, and her expansive technical insurance knowledge align with the culture and goals of Holmes Murphy, and we’re lucky to have her.”

Tanny has three children who are active in athletics, which she and her husband enjoy spectating most weekends. Tanny herself is a former professional athlete, having played in the WNBA for many years.
