Valley Metro promotes various alternative travel modes including carpool, vanpool, bus, light rail, telework, bicycling and walking through its ride matching and tracking database ShareTheRide.com.

Over the last year, the site’s 45,000 registered commuters prevented 102,860 pounds of carbon monoxide emissions and saved over $2 million by using alternative modes. To find a carpool, vanpool or to learn more about other alternative travel modes, visit ShareTheRide.com.

The 34th Annual Clean Air Campaign is sponsored by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, Maricopa Association of Governments, Maricopa County Air Quality Department and Valley Metro.
