International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating women’s social, economic, cultural, and political achievements. Members include luminaries such as Latasha Causey, the first Black woman track president in NASCAR history, Barbara Barrett, the first woman deputy director of the Federal Aviation Administration and the first civilian woman to land an F/A-18 Hornet on an aircraft carrier and 25th United States Secretary of the Air Force, Mary Schroeder who served as the first female chief judge of the Ninth Circuit, and 100 more trailblazing Arizona women who support the nonprofit’s mission of advancing women’s leadership and championing equality worldwide.

“We are so proud to celebrate Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day by also spotlighting the incredible leaders within our organization who champion equality in Arizona and worldwide.” said IWF AZ Board President, Karilyn Van Oosten.
