Visit Phoenix announced the promotions of Eric Kerr to Chief Strategy & Insights Officer and Dana Swan to Chief People & Culture Officer, expanding the organization’s C-suite. The promotions reflect a year of significant growth for both Visit Phoenix and Greater Phoenix, underscoring the continued evolution and momentum of the organization and destination.

Kerr began his career at Visit Phoenix as an intern and quickly rose through the ranks to become one of the destination marketing industry’s leading analytics professionals. During his nearly two decades with the organization, he has transformed complex data into actionable insights that guide decisions across marketing, convention sales, industry advocacy, and destination development. He has also helped strengthen the organization’s strategic approach to data, organizational decision making, and public policy.

Kerr has also been instrumental in building trusted relationships with elected officials, city leadership, industry partners, and peers, strengthening Visit Phoenix’s influence across Arizona and the destination marketing industry. He played a pivotal role in advancing and securing the passage of HB 2950, Arizona’s Tourism Improvement Area (TIA) legislation. This landmark achievement will provide lasting benefits for Greater Phoenix in today’s highly competitive tourism landscape.

“I’m honored to step into this role at such an exciting moment for Greater Phoenix and Visit Phoenix,” said Eric Kerr, Chief Strategy & Insights Officer of Visit Phoenix. “As our destination continues to evolve, the opportunity is to pair thoughtful strategy with meaningful insights that help us make smarter decisions, strengthen our partnerships, and ensure tourism continues to deliver lasting impacts for Greater Phoenix. I’m excited to work alongside our incredible team at Visit Phoenix and industry partners to help shape what comes next.”

Swan brings extensive human resources leadership experience spanning the nonprofit, hospitality, and professional services sectors. Since joining Visit Phoenix more than five years ago, she has led the transformation of the organization’s workplace culture and people strategy, fostering an environment rooted in trust, engagement, and employee well-being. Through the implementation of scalable talent, leadership development, and employee experience initiatives, she has strengthened organizational performance and positioned Visit Phoenix for continued growth.

Under Swan’s leadership, Visit Phoenix has earned Top Workplaces recognitions, reflecting its commitment to an exceptional employee experience. Through partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations, she has advanced workforce development efforts, helping to inspire and cultivate the next generation of hospitality and tourism professionals. Her leadership has built a high-performing culture that enables Visit Phoenix to attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent while advancing the organization’s mission and supporting the continued growth of Greater Phoenix’s visitor economy.

“We’re honored to have two such accomplished leaders on our team,” said Ron Price, President and CEO of Visit Phoenix. “Over the last year, the destination and organization have hit new milestones, catapulting us to new heights. As we continue to grow, expanding our C-suite team helps position us to build on that momentum and prepare for the future.”
