Apex Power Conversion, a solar and storage company, announced the ribbon cutting of its United States headquarters and manufacturing facility in Mesa, Arizona in conjunction with the American Clean Power Association’s CLEANPOWER 2025 Expo at Phoenix Convention Center.

This 206,000 square-foot facility, currently used for customer engagement and product training, will be expanded for advanced multi-megawatt power conversion manufacturing for integrating renewables and energy storage with the grid. The first full units are expected to be manufactured in the first quarter of 2026.

“At Apex Power, we are relentless in pursuing our mission to develop and manufacture the most advanced power conversion systems — technologies that directly enable the integration of renewable energy and storage onto our power grids. It is a humbling honor to launch Apex Power’s headquarters and manufacturing operations in my family’s hometown of Mesa, AZ,” said Apex Power Conversion President & Co-Founder Jacob Marshall. “Apex’s culture is grounded in our purpose and our partnerships, and we look forward to showing the world exactly what we are capable of.”

Apex Power will initially employ up to 300 people, with plans to employ up to 700 by 2029. The company is investing over $60 million into the facility.

In Mesa, Apex Power will access the growing infrastructure, supply chain and workforce pipeline of Greater Phoenix. This facility, located on Elliot and Signal Butte roads, will complement the company’s research & development and manufacturing production in Spain.

“This investment not only brings quality jobs and innovation to our community, it also strengthens Mesa’s reputation as a destination for global companies and forward-thinking industries,” said Mesa Mayor Mark Freeman. “We’re excited to welcome Apex Power and look forward to the positive impact they’ll have on our economy, workforce, and future.”

“Apex Power’s decision to locate in southeast Mesa reinforces our position as a hub for energy innovation and advanced manufacturing,” said Vice Mayor Scott Somers. “This investment means high-quality jobs, cutting-edge technology, and a stronger, more resilient energy future for our region. We are proud to welcome Apex Power to the Mesa business community.”

With the maturation of advanced manufacturing combined with a growing population in the market, Apex Power will support Greater Phoenix’s power grid expansion and clean energy demand with its manufacturing of advanced inverter systems.

“The opening of Apex Power’s United States headquarters furthers Greater Phoenix as a hub for climate technology and alternative energy production,” said Greater Phoenix Economic Council President & CEO Chris Camacho. “The accessibility of partnerships, growing power grid and diverse clusters in advanced technology will help Apex cement itself to play a key role in the region’s efforts to advance clean energy.”

“We’re incredibly proud to celebrate the opening of Apex Power’s U.S. headquarters and power conversion manufacturing facility,” said Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority. “With a commitment to quality and reliability, Apex Power will manufacture high-performance inverter systems, strengthening the state’s power grid resilience to support the growth of our renewable and clean energy sectors.”

Mortenson was a key development and construction partner for the project, as they helped Apex Power find a location at Pursuit Park on the Elliot Road Technology Corridor.

“A significant portion of Mortenson’s work is dedicated to advancing renewable energy, and Battery Energy Storage Solutions are one of the fastest-growing segments in that space,” said Mortenson Director of Business Development Chase Gibbs. “Our partnership with Apex Power Conversion on their Mesa facility reflects a shared commitment to delivering high-quality, U.S.-based inverter and storage solutions—reinforcing our focus on building a cleaner, more resilient energy future for both our communities and our planet.”
