United Food Bank, a Mesa-based food bank that serves those impacted by food insecurity in the East Valley and eastern Arizona, is excited to start 2025 with a refreshed brand identity. Thanks to a generous grant from the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust, this new branding will help highlight the growth of United Food Bank as it continues to expand its reach, grow its funding and ultimately, increase its impact within the community.
As of Jan. 6, United Food Bank has a new logo, website and renewed mission: uniting communities to alleviate hunger.
United Food Bank believes in the power of unity to create food security in the community. With a steadfast commitment to serving those in need, it brings together individuals, businesses and communities to make a meaningful impact. Through the food bank’s collaborative efforts, it strives to ensure that no one in Arizona neighborhoods goes hungry, creating a world where everyone has access to nutritious food.
“As we step into the future, we’re proud to share this new look and feel,” said Jason Reed, CEO of United Food Bank. “We hope it will help us tell our story more effectively, connect with more supporters and amplify the impact of our mission throughout the community.”
United Food Bank’s new logo includes:
Saguaro: Much like the Saguaro, with its wide-reaching roots, United Food Bank has expanded its presence across Arizona. Since 1983, the local food bank has grown into a symbol of nourishment, supporting communities throughout the Valley.
Shield: The shield crest represents a shared commitment to protecting Arizona’s underserved communities. It stands as an emblem of strength in unity and the power behind the mission.
Tomato & Plant: The tomato doubles as a sun, symbolizing the dedication to nourishing communities through high-quality produce. The accompanying plant represents the commitment to continual growth as United Food Bank expands its Arizona impact.
To celebrate its exciting new brand identity, United Food Bank will host an open house event on Jan. 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. at its Volunteer Center (358 E. Javelina Ave.) in Mesa. In addition to the branding and logo, United Food Bank will reveal a brand-new mural created by Mesa Youth Creative Agency. With appearances made by Kelvin Beachum, this open house event will include a ribbon cutting with the Mesa Chamber of Commerce, refreshments and unveiling of the new logo.
