Anhelo, the fine-dining restaurant at 114 W. Adams St., #C103 in downtown Phoenix, is moving. Set to close its current location on Saturday, Nov. 23, Anhelo is scheduled to reopen at 7007 E. 1st Ave. in Scottsdale this winter. In its place, Chef and Owner Ivan Jacobo plans to open Flour and Thyme, a contemporary American bistro, before year’s end.
“It is bittersweet closing Anhelo in Phoenix, but I am excited to give our downtown residents and visitors a new concept that will be more aligned with their needs,” said Jacobo. “We look forward to moving Anhelo into Scottsdale early next year and continuing to develop it into a global dining destination.”
While he’s looking forward to the opportunity to expand Anhelo into Scottsdale, the downtown Phoenix dining community holds a special place in Jacobo’s heart. He is thrilled to be continuing there with Flour and Thyme, which will feature a contemporary American Bistro-style menu. Flour and Thyme was originally going to be located in his own neighborhood of Tempe. However, serendipitously, that plan fell through, and new plans began to take shape.
