The Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee announces Freeport-McMoRan as an Official Partner. The partnership focuses on accelerating the economic impact on the state and leaving a lasting legacy in the community through education-focused initiatives.

Freeport-McMoRan is the presenting partner of the 100 Yards of Education: A STEM Playbook for Youth event being held at State Farm Stadium in January. The event, for 1,000 fifth, sixth and seventh grade students from around the Valley, will educate students on the innumerable career opportunities in sports related to the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields.

“The Host Committee is thrilled to partner with Freeport-McMoRan to continue fostering community involvement and elevating the Super Bowl LVII impact,” said Jay Parry, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee. “The STEM program for youth is critical to ensure students from underrepresented communities know what career opportunities exist off the field.”

Freeport-McMoRan, a leading international mining company, is a partner in the Host Committee’s community engagement programs, particularly the effort to ensure a strong future workforce and economic prosperity for the state through high-quality education and skills development.

“Freeport is pleased to partner with the Host Committee not only in helping to bring a large economic revenue generating event to our State, but also in focusing efforts on high-quality education and skills development needed to drive economic opportunity for Arizonans,” said Richard Adkerson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Freeport-McMoRan.

Super Bowl LVII marks Freeport-McMoRan’s second time partnering with the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee.

Freeport is a leading international mining company with headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. It operates large, long-lived, geographically diverse assets with significant proven and probable reserves of copper, gold and molybdenum and is one of the world’s largest publicly traded copper producers. By supplying responsibly produced copper, Freeport is proud to be a positive contributor to the world well beyond its operational boundaries.

The Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee is a private, non-profit Arizona corporation responsible for planning and executing a successful Super Bowl LVII in 2023. The goal of the Host Committee is to galvanize local stakeholders in a united approach to hosting the largest single-day sporting event in the world by maximizing positive media exposure, fueling the economic engine of Arizona and leaving a lasting legacy. The Host

Committee serves as liaison between the NFL and all regional efforts, culminating with the game in 2023 at State Farm Stadium, home to the Arizona Cardinals.  This is the fourth time Arizona is hosting the Super Bowl,

following 1996, 2008 and 2015. Only four other sites (South Florida, New Orleans, Los Angeles and Tampa Bay) hold this distinction.
