Health Co. Hiring Hundreds to Handle Record Demand for Covid-19 Testing

Embry Health has immediate openings for 500 new employees in Arizona and across the nation as the demand for Covid-19 testing reaches record levels. On Monday, 46,950 appointments were booked for testing. Additionally, Embry has already helped more patients in January than any other month since the pandemic began, with 413,895 appointments already booked this month.

To meet this demand and help protect the community’s health, Embry Health is hiring medical assistants, phlebotomists, nurses, site workers, and other positions. The greatest need in Arizona currently is for full and part-time employees to work at the testing locations controlling traffic, checking people in, and handing out supplies. The entry-level positions pay up to $20 an hour. Embry also offers a $200 bonus after working the first 40 hours and available overtime.

We need to hire more people to help us handle this unprecedented demand for Covid testing. The more people we have on-site, the better and faster the testing experience is for all patients.”

Testing demand has tripled since mid-December when the average number of appointments was 15,000 per day. Almost 38% of the tests are coming back as Covid positive as of January 11, 2022. Embry also operates testing sites in Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. The company aims to open an additional 100 testing locations across the five states, with more expansions planned.
