Arizona Economic Dashboard Launched to Collect Economic Data for Recovery and Beyond

Greater Phoenix Chamber

The Greater Phoenix Chamber launched the Arizona Economic Dashboard, a new tool developed to collect meaningful economic data signaling Arizona’s progress through economic recovery and beyond.

“The Greater Phoenix Chamber is consistently evaluating how to serve the business community in the best way possible,” said Todd Sanders, president and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Chamber. “Through extensive surveying during the initial months of the COVID-19 pandemic and a series of focus groups with business and community leaders, we recognized a resounding need for leaders to be empowered with relevant, timely and accessible information to get our economy back on track and inform the decisions they make for their companies.”

The Arizona Economic Dashboard will ensure that Arizona businesses are equipped with current, meaningful economic data to inform business growth and expansion.

“The goal of this new economic development venture is to be a resource to businesses as they navigate reopening, returning to normal, and determine how to expand in the coming months,” said Jennifer Mellor, chief innovation officer, Greater Phoenix Chamber. “The Arizona Economic Dashboard will serve as an information hub as the Chamber continues to support business growth and retention in our region.”

The Dashboard will help guide businesses through the economic recovery and provide information needed to make relevant decisions in the evolving economic climate.

“With all the uncertainty surrounding economic and pandemic conditions right now, it is wonderful to have a single source of information to understand the current situation and help plan the future,” said Alan Maguire, President and Principal Economist of The Maguire Company. “The Greater Phoenix Chamber has been a trusted partner for Valley businesses for over a century and once again delivers the critical and reliable information businesses need.”

The Dashboard is a compilation of key economic indicators for the overall economy, including sales tax revenue and the unemployment rate, and focus on the states of health care, real estate, and workforce. It includes regularly-updated data and information to give businesses the best insights into Arizona’s local market as businesses move toward recovery.

“It is vital that businesses have readily available data to help them make critical business decisions,” said Sanders. “We’re proud to be launching a tool that will support businesses during the recovery and beyond.”

The Dashboard can be accessed at www.phoenixchamber.com/azdashboard.

Representing 2,400 businesses across the Greater Phoenix region, the Greater Phoenix Chamber promotes regional prosperity by serving as a catalyst for economic vitality and strong communities. The Chamber pursues this mission by collaborating with business, political, and community leaders to grow the regional talent pool, create a regional approach to economic development and drive a pro-Arizona agenda.
