Family Promise of Greater Phoenix, a nonprofit serving families with children experiencing homelessness or a housing crisis in the Valley, has appointed Pamela Hyde as its new Chief Executive Officer. Hyde brings nearly 25 years of nonprofit leadership experience advancing organizations dedicated to strengthening families, protecting children, and serving vulnerable populations across the country.
Hyde steps into the role as Family Promise continues to grow its reach across the Valley. She succeeds Ted Taylor, who retired in July 2026 after 16 years of leadership that grew the organization from serving 30 families per year to more than 700. Taylor now serves as CEO Emeritus through Dec. 31, 2026, and will remain in an advisory capacity.

Getting to be part of that equation is an honor,” said Pamela Hyde, Chief Executive Officer, Family Promise of Greater Phoenix. “Family Promise’s work in not just emergency services but also homelessness prevention and stabilization has really inspired me, and I look forward to seeing how we can expand our impact.”
Hyde’s career spans leadership roles at organizations dedicated to family strengthening and child advocacy. She most recently served as Executive Director of the Midland Rape Crisis and Children’s Advocacy Center in Midland, Texas, leading multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive services for survivors and protect children in crisis. She also spent a decade as Executive Director of Court Appointed Special Advocates in Gillette, Wyoming. At Family Promise, Hyde will lead five core programs: Diversion, Prevention, Shelter, Housing, and Stabilization, working alongside 44 faith community partners and thousands of volunteers across the Valley.
“Pamela’s career has been defined by building partnerships and serving those most in need, which is exactly what Family Promise requires,” said Tim McGough, Board Chair, Family Promise of Greater Phoenix. “Family Promise is a proven, community-powered model that moves families from homelessness to stable housing at a fraction of the cost of traditional shelters, and Pamela’s leadership will help us reach even more families across greater Phoenix.”
Hyde’s leadership will guide the organization as it works to expand congregation partnerships, strengthen housing access, and advance innovative solutions to prevent and end family homelessness across greater Phoenix.

Pamela Hyde is an accomplished nonprofit executive with nearly 25 years of leadership experience advancing organizations dedicated to strengthening families, protecting children, and serving vulnerable populations. Throughout her career, Hyde has built a reputation for strategic leadership, organizational growth, financial stewardship, and community collaboration, consistently guiding nonprofits to achieve lasting impact and sustainable success.
Hyde began her executive leadership career with Families and Schools Together (FAST), where she served first as Program Director before being promoted to Executive Director. From 2005 to 2012, Hyde led the expansion of evidence-based family engagement programs throughout Wyoming, increasing access to services that strengthened family relationships, improved educational outcomes, and fostered healthier, more resilient communities. She also served as a National Trainer for FAST, providing training and technical assistance to organizations across the country to ensure the successful implementation of the nationally recognized family strengthening model.
In 2012, Hyde was appointed Executive Director of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and the Controlled Visitation Program in Gillette, Wyoming. During her decade of leadership, Hyde enhanced advocacy services for children involved in the court system, expanded family support programs, strengthened organizational capacity, and cultivated partnerships that improved outcomes for children facing abuse, neglect, and family conflict.
From 2022 to 2026, Hyde served as Executive Director of the Midland Rape Crisis and Children’s Advocacy Center in Midland, Texas. She led multidisciplinary efforts to provide comprehensive services for survivors of sexual assault while advancing initiatives that protected children and strengthened families in crisis. Under her leadership, the organization enhanced service delivery, expanded community partnerships, increased fundraising capacity, and reinforced its long-term financial sustainability.
Hyde’s expertise spans nonprofit management, board development, fundraising, grant development, operational excellence, strategic planning, and community engagement. She is recognized for fostering cultures of accountability, collaboration, and innovation while maintaining a steadfast commitment to mission-driven leadership.
