Audien Hearing, a leader in accessible, high-performance hearing solutions, announced that Laurie Ann Goldman, a proven and recognized chief executive and brand builder, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, leading the company through its next phase of growth and transformation.

Audien is the No. 1-selling hearing solutions provider in the world, with more than $100 million in business in 2025, serving over 1.5 million customers and carried by thousands of major retail stores across the U.S. Audien is redefining hearing health by breaking down barriers, helping families feel more connected, and normalizing care – laying the foundation for a next-generation hearing health platform.

Goldman brings decades of experience scaling iconic consumer brands and guiding organizations through pivotal moments of reinvention. She is best known as the founding CEO of SPANX, where she built the company from a startup into a global brand valued at over $1 billion, transforming shapewear into a category-defining business and expanding internationally across 60 countries.

She has since served as CEO of Tupperware Brands and New Avon, leading complex restructurings, brand reinventions, and growth initiatives. Earlier in her career, Goldman spent a decade at The Coca-Cola Company, rising to lead its worldwide licensing division and scaling it to nearly $1 billion in retail sales across 54 countries.

At Audien, she is spearheading “The Great Un-Mumbling,” expanding access to high-quality hearing clarity while redefining hearing health as a core component of brain health, longevity, and everyday wellness.

Scott Cohen, Chairman at Audien, said: “There is a hearing loss epidemic hiding in plain sight. Over 1.5 billion people globally are impacted by hearing loss, but less than 20% of them have access to the hearing care they need. People have been left with expensive, confusing, or inaccessible options. The team at Audien takes that personally and is committed to changing it.”

Gone are the days when hearing aids were only available through an audiologist. Audien is making hearing solutions more accessible and easier to find, with products carried by major retailers across the U.S., helping break down longstanding barriers to hearing care.

“Hearing is one of the most powerful ways to reconnect people to the moments and relationships that matter most, and I couldn’t be more excited to join Audien at this critical moment in its growth journey,” said Goldman. “My goal is to expand our reach, deepen our capabilities, and bring clarity to this category at the scale it deserves – while redefining hearing solutions as something people want to show off, not hide. ”

Goldman joins the founders – Ishan Patel, Dylan Garber, and Zack Hubbard – three entrepreneurs inspired by their own grandparents’ hearing struggles. Together, the team has built a breakthrough approach: proprietary engineering, real-world testing, and the industry’s first trained hearing-specialist support program.

“This moment represents an exciting evolution for Audien,” said Ishan Patel, Co-Founder of Audien. “We’ve built an incredible foundation, and we’re thrilled to have Laurie Ann as the leader to bring Audien to the next level of growth. She shares our belief that hearing health should be part of everyday life and conversation, and her experience scaling iconic consumer brands makes her the right leader to help us normalize hearing care and build a leading next-generation hearing health platform.”

Hearing health is now recognized as a leading preventable risk factor for cognitive decline, while the longevity movement and shifting consumer behavior are driving demand for earlier, more personalized care. Audien is reimagining its approach to hearing care as a lifelong relationship, entering people’s lives earlier and growing with them as their hearing needs and lifestyles evolve.

“I became a true believer,” Goldman said. “As I dug deeper, I was continually struck by the scale of unmet need in this space. Today, technology makes a platform approach possible – and Audien is uniquely positioned to shape the next era of hearing health.”
