AZ Impact for Good’s Board of Directors has named Andrea Moreno Interim Chief Executive Officer.

A dedicated public servant and passionate advocate for social impact, Moreno brings more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, philanthropy, and community engagement. Her career includes significant leadership roles at Salt River Project (SRP), where she led multimillion-dollar corporate contributions and innovative community outreach initiatives across Arizona.

“Andrea’s deep commitment to empowering nonprofits and strengthening communities aligns perfectly with our mission,” said Jeri Royce, Board president of AZ Impact for Good. “She understands the unique challenges and opportunities facing Arizona’s nonprofit and philanthropic sectors, and we are confident in her ability to lead with vision and heart during this important transition.”

Moreno has served as a dedicated board member, championing the organization’s efforts to amplify the collective voice of Arizona’s nonprofit and philanthropic community. Her leadership style — rooted in collaboration, integrity, and inclusivity — makes her a natural fit to guide the organization forward.

This leadership transition comes at a critical time for the nonprofit community, as shifting federal policies and looming funding cuts continue to create uncertainty across the sector, and the Board wanted strong, experienced leadership to ensure that Arizona’s nonprofits are equipped to respond, adapt, and thrive.

A native of Tolleson, Moreno brings a personal understanding of the communities AZ Impact for Good serves. Her 23-year career focused on building authentic connections and elevating community voices — especially in the West Valley where she was born and raised. As a bilingual leader fluent in English and Spanish, Andrea has been widely recognized for her impact, including being named one of the “Women Who Shaped the Past 10 Years” by Dress for Success and one of the “40 Hispanic Leaders Under 40.”

In addition to her professional achievements, Moreno’s commitment to service is reflected in her extensive volunteerism and board leadership. She has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars annually to support underserved women’s education and has managed philanthropic budgets in excess of $20 million. Her leadership consistently bridges the gap between corporate responsibility and grassroots impact — an approach that aligns seamlessly with AZ Impact for Good’s mission.

As a mother of three, Andrea brings a deeply rooted passion for building a better future for the next generation, and her dedication to empowering women, advancing equity, and strengthening community ties will guide her work in this new role.

“I am honored to step into this role during such a pivotal moment,” Moreno said. “Nonprofits are the heart of Arizona’s communities, and I am deeply committed to supporting the people and organizations who are doing the hard work every day. I look forward to working alongside our members and partners to amplify our collective impact and build a more resilient, equitable future.”

Moreno’s appointment comes on the heels of the completion of 2025 Arizona Gives Day, powered by AZ Impact for Good, which raised $4.4 million for nonprofits statewide. It also comes at a time when the organization is working collaboratively with nonprofits from all sectors to help them respond and adapt to the changing federal government environment.
